Svitlana Oleshko: "My small apartment in the center of Kharkiv is the best place on earth"

My name is Svitlana Oleshko, and I am the artistic director of Kharkiv's Experimental Theater "Arabesque." I am in my apartment in Kharkiv now. I was born here, grew up here, gave birth to a son here, and built my own theater right here... And this is where I live. Here is my family, as well as my relatives and colleagues.

I wouldn't say there have been any major changes in these four days with me and my loved ones. We haven't changed our minds or our worldview. We just see some details more precisely and vividly. And I, for example, can clearly understand that this small apartment in the center of Kharkiv is the best place on earth.

Ukrainians have grown up as a nation. I would like to tell the world community that Ukrainians are simply admirable and it is very strange that no one has noticed this before.

The worst thing about this war is that it is completely senseless and meaningless, and the aggressor himself doesn’t know what he wants. People and children are dying. And these losses can not be justified by anything. Absolutely nothing!
